PARIS VISITS MARTINSVILLE ON LABOR DAY WEEKEND FOOTBALL FEST
Paris visits Martinsville today in Martinsville's first home game of the season. Paris definitely has an edge in this contest, because of their record so far this year, and the huge advantage in number of players over Martinsville. The Martinsville players will be playing pretty much through the entire game due to lack of sufficient personnel for distinct offensive and defensive teams, while one expects Paris's squads to be constantly shifting players in and out of the game, always having rested players. We will find out if the home team advantage of Martinsville will make up the difference.
PALESTINE-HUTSONVILLE JOURNEYS TO TRI-COUNTY
The Palestine-Hutsonville Pioneers fifth and sixth graders have defeated East Central this year, while losing big to Casey-Westfield, while the Tri-County Titan hosts have lost both games so far this year. One expects the Pioneers to have the advantage, but the Titans have home field advantage. The seventh and eighth grade Pioneers have struggled this year, in large part because their star quarterback and linebacker, Blake Newlin, has a knee injury; the last report was that it might be his ACL. The seventh and eighth grade Titans have struggled due to severe lack of players. This game looks very competitive in pregame outlook.
MARSHALL AND CASEY-WESTFIELD CELEBRATE POPCORN BOWL
Marshall visits Casey-Westfield at the Popcorn Bowl, one of the showcases of Casey-Westfield's yearly Popcorn Festival. This year's contest is particularly exciting, because these Clark County teams are one of the biggest rivalries in this league, and in both age levels, both teams are undefeated. This Bowl, at the end, will help sort out the league's standings like nothing else. Hopefully, the Casey-Westfield Braves' stadium will be open and ready for business, unlike the Braves' last home game, which was transferred to the opposing field due to poor field conditions.
EAST CENTRAL VISITS CUMBERLAND
Two of the premier programs in the league fight it out this week, with Cumberland playing host. East Central fifth and sixth grade has struggled for results this year, with an 0-2 record so far. Cumberland fifth and sixth grade has split their games. East Central has won both their seventh and eighth games, with Cumberland again splitting their games one each.

EAST CENTRAL AND PARIS SPLIT WINS
The fifth and sixth grade game was tough fought by both sides. Paris struggled to put the ball in the end zone, aad a hard time getting momentum on offense.
The Paris defense completely shut down the ECP Panthers offense. I think the Panthers only had one first down all game.
