The fifty yard line was filled with the kids getting the awards, buddies of the kids, parents proudly taking pics, the press and league officials. The excitement and appreciation of the event made for a true mini-party. The All-Stars are awarded for both performance, and off the field attributes. The criteria include leadership, teamwork, hard work in practice and during the game, a love of the game, and off the field citizenship.
CASEY-WESTFIELD SQUEAKS BY EAST CENTRAL IN THRILLER

Casey-Westfield Warrior Victory Dance
Casey-Westfield scores first in this game, in just a few plays. However, scoring defense dominated this game, with Casey-Westfield gaining a somewhat narrow lead of sixteen to zero in the middle of the third quarter.
A this point the East Central offense exploded with a wonderful sustained drive, which resulted in a touchdown, and a successful two point conversion afterwards. With the score sixteen to eight, East Central stopped the Casey-Westfield Warriors. Then, with very little time in the game, East Central's #5 ran in another touchdown will brilliant outside running. It all came down to the two point conversion, which the Warriors defense valiantly stopped. Casey-Westfield ran out the clock with its last possession to win the game. The Warriors were quite excited to win the championship, but East Central's players, while disappointed, knew they also had played like champs.
CASEY-WESTFIELD SHUTS OUT CUMBERLAND IN WELL CONTESTED GAME

Casey-Westfield is Number One
During pre-game warmups, a Cumberland coach explained that they would win the game if Cumberland just played their game. "We have to hit them hard, and hit them low." Casey-Westfield's staff was confident in their defense. "It's up to our offense. We know our defense will do the job; they have only given up eight points all year." Both teams seem to have executed their plans pretty well. Casey-Westfield was somewhat plagued by turnovers, but still managed to hold Cumberland scoreless. And Cumberland held Casey-Westfield to only fourteen points. The inability for Cumberland to get in the endzone made the difference in this excellent contest; both teams made themselves and the league proud.
