Paris 5th and 6th Grade defeated Martinsville 22 to 10, and Paris 7th and 8th Grade triumphed by 26 to nothing. All four teams played well and tried their best, but the larger players from Paris played good defense, and the Martinsville defenses were unable to stop Paris. Martinsville 7th and 8th coach Dan Truelove explained with respect, "The Paris teams were coached very well." Turnout and team spirit was excellent for both teams. Both squads were backed by capable and enjoyable cheerleading squads.
